Let Us Worship!

“Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we have seen His star in the East and have come to worship Him.”
Matthew 2:2
The very word “Christmas” has been emptied of its meaning, drug through the gutter, and given back to us, minus its power. Some prefer to use the more politically correct terminology at this time of year, like “Happy Holidays,” with no idea whatsoever of what Christmas really means.
Most Christmas is filled with hype and endless activity leading to exhaustion, the version that gives little to any thought of Christ. I believe in Christmas. I believe in the real message of Christmas, which is the birth of our Lord.
The primary message of Christmas is this: God is with us Isaiah 7:14 tells us, “Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel.” Immanuel means, “God is with us.”
So the message of the season is not, “Let it snow” or even, “Let us shop.” The real message of Christmas is, “Let us worship.” That is what the wise men came to do. And that is what we should be doing as well.
Wishing you a “MERRY CHRISTMAS”

Thanksgiving Day

He who offers a sacrifice of thanksgiving honors Me. Psalms 50:23 Has it ever seemed surprising to you that God made the Israelites wander in the wilderness for 40 years just for grumbling and complaining? That’s some severe discipline! One thing is crystal clear from this biblical account: God is obviously not pleased with grumbling,Continue Reading

Is there grass on your path?

Psalms 62:8 Trust in Him at all times, you people; Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us. Early African believers were earnest and regular in private devotions. Each one reportedly had a separate spot in the thicket where he would pour out his heart to God. Over time, the pathsContinue Reading

Which would you choose?

Philippians 3:13-14 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. A man who was slowly losing hisContinue Reading

You have Him, who is greater than your circumstances!

Matthew 5:45  “That you may be sons of your Father in heaven, for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.” The Lord is quoted in this scripture in Matthew.  It contains an important principle which believers sometimes tend to overlook.Continue Reading

ARE YOU A DEAD DUCK?

Psalms 118:17 “I will not die, but live, and I will proclaim what the Lord has done”. A farmer and his friend went duck hunting. Eventually, they got to talking about the things of God, as they always would. “You’re always talking about these battles you have with the devil,” the farmer’s friend said toContinue Reading

PUT YOUR FAITH INTO ACTION!

Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. Throughout the Bible, the faith of the saints was never something passive — but rather a faith of action. If AbrahamContinue Reading

Remember

Sometimes we as Christians need to stop along life’s road and look back. Although it might have been winding and steep, we can see how God directed us by His faithfulness. Here’s how F.E. Marsh described what the Christian can see when he looks back: The deliverances the Lord has wrought (Deut. 5:15). The wayContinue Reading

“Look Up”

Psalms 98:1 “O sing unto the LORD a new song; for he hath done marvelous things: his right hand, and his holy arm, hath gotten him the victory.” Years ago, a young sailor went to sea for the first time. Not long after setting sail his ship encountered a heavy storm and the sailor wasContinue Reading

The Master Planner

Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end”. Life is always sending unexpected surprises, but praise God, nothing takes Him by surprise. He’s the master planner. Our family might turn against us, our friends letContinue Reading
